AnatomySense

AnatomySense is a dynamic approach to anatomy that inspires the avid student's quest to understand their body and asana practice. In this 2-hour workshop, you'll learn about the 7 Fascial Lines that connect everything in the body, and how the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and bones work together. Dr. Mike will help you make sense of anatomy through a FUNctional workshop involving lecture, images, movement, and palpation.

What you’ll walk away with:

  • Understand how fascia interconnects the entire body, tying everything together as one continuous system.

  • Learn why your yoga practice needs both strength and flexibility, and be empowered to practice yoga safely.

  • Understand why fascial health matters for overall nervous system function and wellbeing.

  • Build awareness of movement patterns to decrease injury and increase performance.

  • Leave with a felt sense of your fascia through movement, palpation, and visuals.

  • Bonus for teachers: add to your repertoire of asana modifications and adjustments.
