Frequently Asked Questions

  • We recommend you bring a mat if you have one.  If you don’t have a mat we have rentals available.

  • We do!  A mat rental is $2.

  • There is a parking lot next to the studio that costs about $2 for an hour class.  We are not able to validate parking for you.  There is also plenty of parking across Galveston in the residential neighborhood as well as downtown.

  • If you have a 10 class pack, Flex Membership or a Drop-in:

    Please cancel your reservation at least 2 hours prior to the class start time in order to get the class back on your account.  If you cancel with less than 2 hours until the class starts, or you don’t show up for the class, the class will not be credited back to your account.

    If you have a Shala Unlimited Monthly membership and you cancel less than 2 hours before the start of class, or you do not show up for class, you will be charged a $10 fee.  

  • Some are, yes.  If you look at our schedule you’ll see a fire emoji next to our heated classes.  Classes are gently heated 84-88 degrees.

  • Please email the studio at yogashalabend@gmail.com one week before your membership is set to renew to give us ample time to cancel your membership.

  • While all our classes are open to beginners, our Hatha, Restorative, Soulful Flow and Yoga Nidra move more slowly.

  • How do I sign them in?  Your friend must create an account through our Mindbody software.  Once they do that, they can register for a class.

  • If your buddy already has been to the studio, you need to email the studio with his/her name and we can enter him/her into the class. If your buddy has not been to the studio before he/she will need to create an account in our Mindbody software. Once this is done, we can register him/her for a class.

  • We strongly recommend you pre-register for class. This guarantees you a spot in the room. If you just show up and class is full we may have to turn you away, and we really don’t want to do that!

  • Please email the studio with your friend’s name, email and phone number so we can add him/her to our system and attach that account to yours.  

  • Yes, we allow holds for up to 2 weeks.  Please email the studio at least a week before your hold time so we can get it set up in our system.

  • We do not have showers.
